*Due to Budget Reductions, Operating Hours Have Been Reduced. Effective, Friday, February 27, 2009, Feldheym Central Library will be closed on Fridays until further notice.
The Cosand Computer Learning Center at Feldheym Central Library has 24 Internet computer workstations. The computers feature word processing as part of the Office 2007 Suite; Encarta Encyclopedia; computer tutorial software; magazine and health articles; civil service tests online; ReferenceUSA business and phone directory; free homework help online via our Live Homework Help®tutoring service; and children's learning games TumbleBooks, animated picture books.

Computer usage at our libraries is free. Computers may be used for 3 non-consecutive hours a day.

Library computer users must sign the Internet Public Access Policy. A parent, custodial parent or guardian signature, witnessed by a Library staff member, is required for anyone under the age of 17. Patrons may only access the Internet with their personal SBPL library card.

Free Library Classes!!!
Free Computer Classes at the Cosand Computer Learning Center every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. No registration needed, first come first serve, limited to 20 students

Free Public Computer Class will not be held Thursday, March 4.
The lab will open at 10 a.m. that day

1st Thursday – Introduction to the Internet
2nd Thursday – Introduction to Using Word 2007
3rd Thursday – Introduction to the Internet
4th Thursday – How to Set Up a Free Email Account
Patron/Students should know how to use a mouse and have some typing ability.

Virtual Classes computer software tutorial (in-library use only) are available, patron should bring their own headsets/earphones.
Patrons are also encouraged to bring their headsets/earphones during the lab's open hours. The lab doesn't provide headsets/earphones.

You are encouraged to call 909.381.8237 to verify the hours or for more information before making a trip to the Library.

Computers at our Feldheym reference area & branch libraries include:

9 computers for Internet at Feldheym Reference area
6 computers (4 for Internet) at the Howard M. Rowe Branch Library
8 computers for Internet at the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library
12 computers for Internet at the Paul Villaseñor Branch Library

Computers in reference & branches have Office 2003.

homework help icon There are also 6 computers each in the Teen Zone and Children's Room at Feldheym and 2 at Rowe that are non-Internet but offer word processing as part of the Office 2003 Suite; Encarta Encyclopedia; computer tutorial software; magazine and health articles; a database that offers opposing viewpoints of controversial issues, educational tests online; and children's learning games.

We are now offering the General Reference, Health Reference and Opposing Viewpoints databases and free homework help online via our Live Homework Help®tutoring service in our libraries or remotely to our library cardholders with Internet access. animation Tumble Books animated, picture books are also available in library and remotely without needing a library card.

Note: Library computers will not support U3 flash drives that try to install a software in order for them to work

Printing is 15 cents per page, in black and white.
Color printing is also available in the Cosand Computer Learning Center, Reference area and branch libraries for 75 cents per page.
