Naomi (Bland) Holmes was born March 4, 1826 at Baildon Mooreside, England. She left England with her husband, Wardman Holmes on February 1, 1850 stopping first in St. Louis, MO and then Salt Lake City, UT. On June 15, 1860 they arrived in San Bernardino, CA. They owned land that is now part of Perris Hill Park. She died September 9, 1915 in San Bernardino and is buried at San Bernardino Pioneer Cemetery.
