Alexander Keir, Sr. was born on October 8, 1815 at Cumbuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland. In November of 1848 he arrived in New Orleans, LA. Keir arrived in San Bernardino on October 15, 1853. He was a coal miner and a farmer. Keir died on March 31, 1897.
