Carolyn Tillman is a retired San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools administrator; managing federal and state funded grants on behalf of SBCSS. During her tenure, she partnered with governmental, local non-profit and faith-based organizations. Prior to her work with SBCSS, Carolyn was employed by Loma Linda University Medical Center, The March of Dimes and the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. Carolyn has a degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology from Loma Linda University.
San Bernardino has been a part of Carolyn's history for over sixty years; she became a permanent resident in 1980. As a citizen, she enjoys a life of community service. She currently serves as President to the San Bernardino City Library Board and serves as a 5th District Commissioner for the San Bernardino County Equal Opportunity Commission. Her past service has been on the San Bernardino County African American Employee Association Board and the San Bernardino County Women's Network Board. She is a founding member of the San Bernardino City Arrowhead United Way, Women's Leadership Council. Carolyn also participated and completed training in the San Bernardino City Leadership Program and has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society, San Bernardino Chapter and the San Bernardino Community Scholarship Association Board. She is a lifetime member and past president of National Council of Negro Women, Inland Empire Section.
