Chloe Ann (Dodson) Cox was born August 24, 1846 in Pottowattami County, IA. Her family left Council Bluffs in May 1850 for Salt Lake City, UT. They left Utah in November 1850 and arrived at Salt Springs in San Bernardino County on December 25, 1850. They spent six months on the Mojave River and reached Sycamore Grove on June 18, 1851. She married Silas Cox on December 31, 1861 in San Bernardino. She died November 1, 1918 and is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in San Bernardino.
