Thomas Jefferson

Evans was born 1826 in Indiana. He crossed the plains to Santa Fe, New Mexico and worked as a police officer for two years. In 1851 he came to the Sacramento Valley and mined on the Feather River. 1859 he married Cynthia Jane Fowler in San Francisco. After moving to San Bernardino he lived on South Arrowhead where he farmed. He also had a grocery business. Evans passed away September 21, 1901 in San Bernardino and is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery.
