Nancy A. (Bemis) Hancock was born June 14, 1824 in Elissburg, NY. She married Joseph Hancock on August 31, 1848 at Council Bluffs, IA. In 1851 they crossed the plains to Utah and on to San Bernardino arriving in the spring of 1854. Nancy died June 16, 1908 in San Bernardino and is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in San Bernardino.
